[He trails after, but he's at least tall enough to keep up pretty easily despite all the layers of robes. Running away is a carefully cultivated skill, after all.]
I was able to clean and bandage it, and I used some of the disinfectant, but that's really all I could do.
[Well, he has the painkillers, but it's still a gunshot wound with a bullet in it, so. It probably speaks to something that he was able to ignore it pretty effectively when he's usually losing it over the threat of pain.
There's a moment of hesitation before he continues, though.]
The skull-- it protected against a single heavily-damaging injury. I didn't die when he stabbed me, but he still had time to shoot me after it was used.
She's got more training than me. They always tell us for injuries like that - patch 'em up and get 'em to a doctor. That's why she might be able to help more. In a pinch, I know I could dig it out for you, but someone with more experience could do that while making sure it doesn't do any more damage on the way out.
She'd help. I can only speak for myself, but. I take my rescue training pretty seriously. Not to say I dislike you, 'cause I don't, but even if I had a problem with you, I'd still help you. I know Luna's like that, too.
[But since he can tell NHS is hesitating anyway...]
I'll take a look at it and see if I can't handle it on my own.
[He's not used to people being this NICE to him outside his own sect's healers, it's wild.]
But- oh, of course...
[He nods, loosening his outer robes a bit so that he can slip them off his left arm, doing the same with the inner layers until the bandages are exposed. He's at least taken care with it, so everything's in about as good a condition as it can be.]
[He'll do his best not to be A Huge Baby about it, but there's definitely wincing and maybe the occasional sniffle while Nie Huaisang holds it together. At least he stays still, but he visibly relaxes once Galo is finished, shoulders slumped a little.]
I really should have gotten that over with before, shouldn't I--
[He gives him a grateful little smile, though.]
Thank you. Isn't there anything I can do for you in return?

[Oh wait! Suddenly realizing.]
Wait! Are you injured still?
no subject
I couldn't get the projectile out, either, so I... really wasn't sure what else to do.

[he looks SO relieved at that, exhaling a heavy sigh, though he. also takes a quick glance around.]
Ah, should we go inside first, or...?
no subject
[Or does he need more privacy because the bullet wound is inside his butt as predicted.]
no subject
[The bullet is not inside his butt, thankfully, so he nods! The infirmary is good with him.]
There should be more supplies there, if you need them.
no subject
[Leading them to the infirmary while he talks!]

[After a second. . .]
You mind me asking how that skull worked?
no subject
[Well, he has the painkillers, but it's still a gunshot wound with a bullet in it, so. It probably speaks to something that he was able to ignore it pretty effectively when he's usually losing it over the threat of pain.

[What the fuck.]
I'll see what I can do. We might need to get Luna involved.
no subject
[It'd still be evidence, also he had no idea what to do with it.]
Miss Luna-- she's a healer of some sort, isn't she?
no subject
She's got more training than me. They always tell us for injuries like that - patch 'em up and get 'em to a doctor. That's why she might be able to help more. [He sounds a little uncertain about that, though, he really doesn't know her well enough to be sure.]
But maybe we shouldn't bother her unless it gives you trouble-?
no subject
[But since he can tell NHS is hesitating anyway...]
I'll take a look at it and see if I can't handle it on my own.
no subject
[and in this way we spare nik's poor inbox, maybe.]
I really haven't met very many people with that sort of outlook... it's very kind of you.
no subject
[Yep! Infirmary it is, then.]
You mind showing me?
no subject
[He's not used to people being this NICE to him outside his own sect's healers, it's wild.]

I think I can get it out for you. It's gonna hurt a lot.
no subject
I'll try to hold still... will it at least be fast?
no subject
[It definitely hurts a lot, but he'll manage to get it out with some tweezers or something, I don't know, and then clean it up.]
no subject
I really should have gotten that over with before, shouldn't I--
[He gives him a grateful little smile, though.]
Thank you. Isn't there anything I can do for you in return?
no subject
Nope! I told you, this is my job. You don't have to owe me anything. But there is one thing. . .
no subject
[He tilts his head curiously, there, idly shifting his arm to test the movement once Galo's finished.]
