[He doesn't say anything in response to that, but he does get a pretty visceral reaction. An extreme wave of nauseous anxiety, and Lio almost flinches. Looking up at the ceiling. He isn't sure he wants to know?]

Hey. It's - well, it's not okay, but there's time. There's time to stop it still, before anyone's hurt!

but he doesn't move away or anything. he believes that Galo believes what he's saying, and he tries his best to believe it too. If only for his sanity.]

It isn't anybody's fault but his, and everyone who helped him do it!

[ He can mean it all he wants, Lio’s still pretty depressed. And oversharing at this point -but it feels useless to hide things from Galo anymore? He somehow ends up telling him everything, every time. ]

I needed to be smarter. Smarter than he is, smarter than Blue. I am tired of being out maneuvered.

[He feels depressed and sad too, especially after Lio says that. It hurts, to think of how easily used he was by Kray.]

[He kind of laughs a little, automatically, at that, because no one thinks that. But also it sits with him, filling him with warmth that sits oddly with the contact sadness and exhaustion. Lio. . . Lio is the nicest person he's ever met. Isn't that weird? Isn't it weird how he knew before Galo did just how badly he needed someone to believe in him a little?

He scrubs at his face, embarrassed that he's going to cry a little, even though so many of these feelings are Lio.]

He just said an incredibly nice thing, so he has to tsun a bit to make up for it. ]

[Too bad. But he's wiping his eyes away, responding to that with a more genuine laugh.]

[ With that laugh, he actually manages to break through the sadness wall - Lio actually? Laughs back? It’s about the most tired sound in the whole world, and he only smiles with one side of his mouth, but he does. ]
