[Starting to reach out to touch his arm.

[He knows Lio is right, but that doesn't change that he's scared. He can't go to sleep knowing a fire might be burning right under his nose. Right where everyone else's bedrooms are.]

If I could narrow down where it was coming from, though...!

[Looking up at him? He is. So tired. It's beyond tired at this point, it's beyond exhausted. He's empty, and he needs to sleep. Probably for two days. But he has to help Galo first. Because he can feel that fear, and that's . . . he doesn't want him to have to feel that.]

We can come back. As soon as the trial begins, this will be our first priority.

[He's so tired, too. And he's been out here for a while now and hasn't found anything. And he knows, he knows it's nothing more than this place's dumb magic.

He just wants to sleep, but it's impossible like this, even as he thinks he's going to pass out on his feet.]

The bedrooms, though. I should stay here, just in case?

[Shaking his head.]

You won't be of use to anyone like this.

[He doesn't, like, gently take his hand or anything, instead just (lightly!) shoving on his arm to get him to start moving along. Bossy.]

We should go outside.

Yeah. Okay.

[He's so tired that he just lets Lio shove him into walking. It's not easy for him to walk away, but he also wants nothing more than to close his eyes, so he goes. Once they make their way down the stairs, and the smell fades, the anxiety starts to ebb away with it.]

[The relief at that is pretty palpable. He stops shoving at least. Still heading for outside - the stables, maybe? At least then it won't be cold, but Galo will be far enough from the house he might not be tempted to just run right back around.]

[He's less and less tempted to, anyway. The feelings being triggered by that smell are just replaced with exhaustion. It's easier to know Lio was right, that it isn't important, and that he needs to sleep.

So, grabbing him by the arm before they go outside.]

C'mon. You probably wanna sleep someplace comfortable, right?

Comfort does not bother me.

[He can sleep literally wherever? But he's grabbed, so. Not going anywhere.]

[Considering a second, then tugging him towards the lounge.]

I have slept in worse conditions. This one has a roof, and four walls.

Outside doesn't.

[But he's going to flop down on a particularly soft looking couch. And tug Lio with him. There are other couches in here, you idiots.]

Anyway, I get you, but this has been a long ass week. Get a good rest, okay?

[There are probably other couches in this exact room, dingus! But he's already been pulled down, and he's really too tired to object. He does, however, pull himself into as uncomfortable a position as possible. Just to be stubborn.]

[Smiling a little, stupidly fond of him. What a dumb, stubborn idiot. Enjoy being hit with those feelings while you try to grouch.]

[SUITING HIMSELF, please stop projecting fondness at him. He does not deserve it. Waiting, awake, until Galo goes the fuck to sleep though. Or, at least, until enough time has passed he can get comfortable - sprawling across him and not giving much of a shit if he kicks him.]
